New Ultra-Fines Recovery Systems for Mine & Quarry Applications

Press Contact: Carol Wasson JCL Marketing, Inc. 260-755-3479 [email protected] Marketing Contact: Joe Schlabach Deister Machine Company, Inc. 260-426-7495 [email protected] DEISTER INTRODUCES NEW ULTRA-FINES RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR REDUCED SETTLING POND USE IN MINE & QUARRY APPLICATIONS FORT WAYNE, IN – SEPT 24, 2012 – Deister Machine Company introduces its new Ultra-Fines Recovery System (UFR), which is designed to recover ultra-fine sands & silts in quarry applications; or to recover tailings in various mining applications, allowing operations to eliminate or greatly reduce the use of maintenance-intensive settling ponds. As a far more cost-efficient alternative to the use of costly plate filter presses, for example, the Deister Ultra-Fines Recovery System enables producers to create a dry tailing or silt product which can be stockpiled prior to removal, or used as a saleable product.   The Deister UFR System is capable of recoveries to 350-400 mesh, and at feed capacities from 1500-3500 GPM. It utilizes a radial distribution manifold for even distribution of solids to all cyclones. The reverse slope vibrating screen is available in sizes up to 7’ wide and 12’ long, with solids capacities up to 70 TPH.   The UFR System Cyclones are available with a variety of liner and body materials. Victaulic connections allow flexibility and ease of maintenance. Optional “Duck Bills” can be attached to the cyclone apex with siphon control to accommodate variable feed solids conditions. The sump is constructed with heavily reinforced ¼” walls and wide flange beam vertical columns.    A sloped bottom plate promotes even solids flow to the pump inlet and an automatically adjusted make-up water valve protects the pump. A sturdy hand railed stairway and platform on both sides and back of the screen allow for safe and easy maintenance access; and several pump configurations are available mounted on a steel frame base pad.

For immediate information on each, visit Deister at MINExpo Booth #20198. New Deister Exciter Vibrating Mechanism After three years of exhaustive testing, Deister Machine Company is proud to introduce its new Exciter Vibrating Mechanism. The Exciter is designed for use with large linear stroke screens and feeders. Multiple units can be positioned in series, and linked by flexible shaft couplings to provide exceptional B-10 bearing life in conjunction with aggressive G-force. State-of-the-art CNC manufacturing processes ensure tight tolerances and precision fits for the entire assembly.  Innovative seal, shaft and bearing designs provide a rugged unit that is easy to maintain, especially when combined with the Deister System Saver Oil Filtration System. Removable external counterweight slugs allow for easy output force adjustment over a wide speed range.  The Exciter Mechanism can be driven by V-belts or direct drive flexible shaft. Deister Isolation Base As an option for large screens, the Deister Isolation Base incorporates a secondary set of support springs, as well as shock absorbers, which further isolate the forces generated by the vibrating screen frame from the stationary structure. This Isolation Base is also beneficial in reducing the size and complexity of the support structure under and around the vibrating screen.                                                                   Family-owned for more than a century, 2012 marks Deister’s 100th anniversary as a preferred provider of vibrating feeding, scalping and screening equipment to the crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt, coal, coke, slag and ore processing industries.
